The wedding/reception site (The American Orchid Society) is not a suitable place for children for several reasons: unlit walking paths, dark corners, prickly plants, water fountains and ponds, plus many sensitive, prized, and cultivated orchid species. For safety, health, and legal reasons, both we and the American Orchid Society request children not attend.
We apologize that our invitations were not clear on this issue.
